That’s a very good looking skillet, never heard of that brand before.
@svk it is reasonably priced and seems to win shootouts with the equivalent Lodge skillet. Figure it was worth a try. It is more rough that I thot it would be from my research, so time will tell.

Rolling over all depends on your tax bracket. Never roll over an amount large enough to put you in a higher tax bracket. You can choose how much you wish to roll over each year.

There are 2 trees that are known as Ironwood ... Blue Beach and Hop Hornbeam. What you have there is Hop Hornbeam, which is also known as Lever-wood. It is excellent for making tool handles. As the second nickname implies, it is very tough to break!

It is high BTUs and is very slow growing. Does not get really big but can get over 12". I have a decent amount of it on my property in the Catskills. The majority of it is smaller than 6", but a few trees are near 20".

Pretty sure the variety we have here is Hornbeam. Dad said they always used them for wagon tongues. This one has been leaning up in the corner of the wood shed, which was a wagon shed, for many, many years.

The angle pieces were an afterthought. Poor communication between me and the misses . I didn’t realize she wanted them for her books .

Yep that's a game changer.
Reminds me of my wife. I built her a 10' x 10' pantry. Shelves all the way around every wall. Of course she filled those up. She asked about adding a roll around shelf to sit in the middle so I bought one of the nice wire ones and put it together for her. I mentioned it might be good to put empty Tupperware, chips and other light stuff on it since it would be out in the middle where the was less support. Came home later and found it full of canned goods and sacks of flour.

I was going to build a pantry shelf for my sister when she moved into her house. She couldn't make up her mind on what she wanted. Went through several variations on paper. Wasn't going to build one only to have her change her mind and want me to rebuild it.

It never got built.

My dad always said it heats you twice: once when you make it, and once when you burn it. Now that he's 91, I seem to sweat when I cut it, when I buck it, when I split it, when I stack it, when I drag it in, and when he burns it - if I'm visiting him while he has the fire roaring!

but, you didn’t load up he front fender and handlebars…slacker…
