This mower sat for about 15 years at my grandparents place, not one nest in it. It can't sit for more than 2 weeks at my house with out this happening, 3rd time I have had to clean this **** out.

I had something similar happen this year. Mice usually leave the mower (well worn Gardenway by Troy Built 16.5 OHV Briggs) alone all year but after not having to mow the yard for 2 weeks (too dry) around Labor Day I started it it up in the little shed I park it in and it was like being inside a dust devil with all the grass clippings and dust that shot out from under the engine shrouds the mice had stuffed under them. Spent 30 min cleaning off the engine before mowing.

Remember this pict. I posted the other day when I treated the deck on my PJ trailer,,

Well, here's what it looks like today, the boards have sucked it all up!

I'll do it again next summer.

Oh, I forgot to ask. What's everyone's opinion on the "pro" spray foam guns? I have a lot of small gaps that need filled and I'd need a lot of the little cans. Money wise, it's not a huge savings, but I liked the interchangeable nozzles and longer reach. My main concern is I've read a lot of reviews about people having issues getting the cans on the guns and having a foam explosion.
They're "great"(to continue the puns 😆).
Never had one blow up yet, but I'm always curious about how one goes about making that sort of thing happen 🤔.
If you’re talking about things like the Smart Stuff pro I like it. The control you have (width and amount) over the cans with built in nozzles is worth the cost alone. Being able to set it aside for days between use is handy too. Buy a quart can of acetone and a Great Stuff spray can of acetone. You MUST keep it clean or struggle through cleaning hard foam inside the gun.
Never remove the can unless you are installing a new one, then when you do give it a little squirter. If you do this, you'll never have to clean them.
I just snagged one at a garage sale that someone screwed up, hoping I can get it cleaned up. Even if I can't, I paid less for the gunked up sprayer and two cans of spray than what half a can would have cost .

If you use them regularly it's not a problem... it's when you have significant gaps between uses. For example, doing a whole house renovation involved lots of use and regular use. Leave a can sit for a year and it's a different story! If I don't think I'm going to use it for months or more I clean it inside and out.

Here is a small tree for you guys. It is a Fig tree growing in Balboa Park in San Diego. The tree is bigger than what the plaque says. I'm guessing that the exposed root base is 60 feet across.

Well I guess I'll be getting the foam gun and giving it a try.

Never seen that to be a problem, maybe it has bad seals. You could try hitting the button every month to get some fresh stuff in the gun and see how that goes.
All the problems I've seen with them have been when people remove the can and do not replace it. If you want to do that, you have to use the cleaner, then you're good to go.

The cans are a good bit more, but they hold a little more. As was said, the difference is in how well they apply the foam. You can also set it down and come back later to finish a project, unlike the cans(unless you clean them real well), this alone pays for the gun in my eyes.

I ordered a 12 pack of the 24oz cans and an extended reach spray gun for $217.00. Supposedly it will do 240 board feet. Even if it only does half that I should be in good shape. I'll post up my thoughts about it. I just have the room in the lean to to put insulation panels in yet, then spray foam cracks etc. If it's half as easy/ nice to use as you guys say then I'll be in good shape. Seems about the same cost per oz out of the little cans, but they are such a mess and hard to use in the ceiling. Fingers crossed it works out well for me.

Oh, I forgot to meantion. I got a free door for between the shop and little room. Guy had it sitting out in his front yard on cinder blocks when we were on our way to pick up bolts for my buddies log truck. Stopped by and knocked on the door to check if it was free. He said "yes, but leave the cinder blocks." LOL. Guy said he had it on market place for a few months and no one called him. Their loss. It's an exterior metal door with a half window in the top. Will be perfect for inside between the little room and shop.
On a side note, my wife rolled her eyes at me and called me a cheap bas***d when we dropped it off.

Hitting the button regularly is so far off my radar it doesn't happen! 🤣

My old college roommate made the news again… I have to wonder why his bombing the dorm hasn’t been mentioned in the articles… The last time I saw him at school he was in the back of a state trooper’s car. 😉

I found more information...

It seems the articles of his 2000 arrest and conviction have all disappeared from the web but for a repost of an article at https://www.ar15.com/forums/hometown/Man_NOT_convicted_under_NYS_AWB/9-206857/.

BTW, we lived in an off campus apartment with a couple other guys. I am 6 years older than him... I was back in school for another program. He was very timid... didn't cast a shadow on a sunny day kind of guy. He became fascinated with guns and explosives. I and my two other roommates probably fed that fascination back then as I was in the local pistol club and the other two guys and I had guns and hunted. We three were from upstate NY and Neff was from Dobbs Ferry. To him guns were something new and exciting while the other three of us grew up with them. Neff bought an old bolt action military rifle and I helped him sporterize it. Unfortunately his fascination overrode his sense of self preservation in the legal world... and here he is again on his way to prison.

I just got done installing a Timney trigger in my Ruger M77 MkII .223. It's pretty accurate with 50 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips.

I was able to file the safety to fit at work. I had to take almost 1/8" of the area indicated. Now I just have to put the stock on and see how it shoots.
