You oil hoarders!!
That’s why they’re always sold out….

I can’t talk, when .22lr is on sale, I buy it out

I went to Walmart one time, they had my BIL favorite stuff for his Remington 700 on sale.

I told him, he said “buy it all”. I replied you won’t live long enough to shoot that all”. He said, “ok buy 10 boxes”. He still won’t Live long enough…..

But, I bought it for him

I hear ya! Been about the worst season I've had in years. (Not counting the years I couldn't get off.) Even the places I've always got deer from have been a bust so far. Still kicking myself for not shooting that little doe last Saturday. We'll see how tomorrow and Saturday goes.
You are carrying too new of a gun! lol

My 90-year-old gun even works for my cousin who was hunting with me, she took this doe at about 125 yards,

Then she gutted it, and took it home,

We have a sawmill coming, it’s a Norwood HD36V2. It’s too late for this season, but I’ll get it set up over the winter and take it up in the spring.

It’s coming along, I can’t put full days into it. There are still a lot of parts to put on.

Well I just love winter View attachment 1224019
Woke this morning to no water .turned the pump off let the cistern refill turn it on and it sucked all the water out . Hardly any pressure in the house so the feed line must have ruptured. Not from cold since it’s in the 30’s and the ground isn’t even frosted yet

Have about 100 feet to go
Best to you SDriver on that one, and when your done, bring that orange puppy on over to my place, I got a beer for ya.

I replaced the fuel filters when I did the oil in the summer . Guess it’s just the summer blend in it . I got 5 gallons of fresh but I’ll add some anti-gel just for insurance.

Tractor supply had the bar oil I bought them out and got a rain check for more View attachment 1224547View attachment 1224548
Nice haul on the oil. TC told me they would be getting in more next week. I'll clean them out again.

Good luck to the hunters today.

Your post reminds me of my early hunting days. I took a broadside shot at a deer from about 70 yards away. The deer dropped like a rock. I started walking over to the buck never reloading my new Mossberg pump shotgun. The deer jump up and ran like a SOB. I never hit the deer to begin with. Come to find out the barret was bent from when they stamped the name and model on the barrel. The gun was shooting high with the accu-choke barrel. The store gave me a new barrel and I bought a slug barrel for it.

This snow has altered the deer behavior… the does are herding up. Nine in a tight bunch browsing this afternoon.

The herd picked up two does yesterday. A lone buck is still hanging around… the one with the Dr. Seuss rack. Other bucks just pass through. Interesting to watch the changes unfold.

A couple questions. Why did the deer drop like a rock if it wasn't hit?

And why didn't you catch the "shooting high" when you sighted the gun in, or checked it on paper?? Surely, you checked the gun on paper before going hunting.

Inquiring minds want to know... lol

The boys one farm down from my house (where oldest nephew lives) were kind enough to send me pictures of the 10pt I had on trail cam all summer/fall

I went out this morning, saw a deer crossing the field before light, then two doe came out the tree line at 8:30. They grazed down the tree line. I kept waiting for a buck that never showed

Daughter is sore from Track practice, told me she isn’t up for the afternoon sit….c2af4ce7-83c2-48d9-a846-15c417ed6936.jpeged7f488b-31a3-4e6f-8870-e300e61feebd.jpeg
