Got this Oregon 620 grinder from work for Christmas. Totally unexpected but appreciated!
Now I need to pick everyone's brains for tips and tricks but that's for a different thread.
Are you crazy? You can't burn softwoods! Better have the fire department on speed dial. Also would have to burn, gasp, softwoods!
Have a .410 double in thereMe… I’d fill one spot with an English stocked double trigger 28 gauge with 28-29” barrels. I gave my son my CZ Ringneck 28 and haven’t replaced it with a nicer one yet….
The 28 and .410 guns are why I started reloading shotgun shells… then added 3/4 oz 20 gauge loads for the range. Keeping my sons fed was a job! I let them shoot until they were tired… 2-3 cases typically!
That’s funny! I was looking at an Ithaca 10 auto on gunbroker last night. Figured if going big, go the biggest!Franchi I-12 made by Benelli , Ithaca Mag 10 , Auto loaders rule lol View attachment 1228587

Look up pole cat while you're at it.I had to look up pine Martin, never seen one, pretty cool.
I wish I had something to bait them in, saw a nice doe carcass on the way to Detroit area this morning, just didn't think it would be a good idea to have it in the trailer while delivering eggs .
See if these videos upload.
First may be a big fox, not sure, second is a couple yotes.
Well, hope you like turkeys, can't find the videos, I'll try again.
They're heading towards some of the wood I need to scrounge/clean up from the storm in the fall of 2023. Some off to tye r8ght as well.

They tore this area up right behind a stand, took this to show my buddy when I was out there yesterday. It's about 45-50yrds long, must have been something good there.
This is the direction they were heading in the oic above, just need to turn left.

Seen those, buddy was married to one, not as impressive as a pine Martin, but probably just as deceiving...Look up pole cat while you're at it.

Alright, which one of is this.
One night I was out splitting some wood and thought I saw something fly by.I'm 99 percent sure I saw one of the last ones ( the 4 legged ones) in this area when I was 14. It was at dusk and I was heading in from squirrel hunting. There was something in the top of a tree that was bigger than even the big fox squirrels around and much darker. Didn't move like a squirrel either. Had never seen one before and haven't seen one since.
One night I was out splitting some wood and thought I saw something fly by.
Quite a while later I was bucking up a tree and cut right through a flying squirrel nest, it was within 20' of where I had been splitting wood. Pretty sure that's what it was as it was after dark.
Tonight when I got back from TSC, I hoped out of the truck and heard something odd near the chickens, then I heard the more normal sound off a bit further. It was the great horned owls, they make some new sounds.
Did you see this, saw it down in ohio.
