Which one? I have an older Mark II but my daughter has a newer model, a lightweight with the 45-style handle ... and she loves it!

My old Mark II NEVER jams ... wish I could say the same for my 10/22!
My mother in law has the little Ruger .22 that looks like your .380. She loves that thing

I've always wanted a Ruger Mark II.

How often dose your 10/22 malfunction? Mine cycles pretty good. Even when dirty. Not to say I never have a failure to feed with it. Anywhere from around one to three rounds per one hundred rounds fired, but what can you expect from an auto loading rimfire. I've also noticed that every now and then I will get an under charged load. That always creates a malfunction being the 10/22 is recoil operated. Both my 10/22s are the old style with the aluminum barrel clamp and trigger assembly. I'm not sure how the newer plastic models perform.

Digging that out, came across his first hunting knife he bought in the 50's. It's a Western brand, made in Boulder Colorado. He got it for his trip up to Alaska.View attachment 1232133
That looks like a quality hand made knife! 👍🏻 Similar to a Ruana that are made in Bonner Montana.20250108_081702.jpg

Years ago my friend and I had this issue with our 10/22's. We were shooting Remington target rounds. We both switched to high velocity rounds and the problem went away. The CCI hollow point rounds were the most accurate in our rifles.

I was under the impression Maine was a constitutional carry state ? You do live in Maine don’t you ?

Ohh sorry you’re in Massachusetts.
My wife and I have lived here our whole life. My daughter lives 400 yards away. Unfortunately we are not going anywhere. I personally would love to pack it in and get the Hell out of this ridiculous State.

If I go with vertical siding it will have a gap for the purlins unless I put 3/4 inch on first directly to the sheet metal . Not sure if it’s wise to have it directly on the metal . But if I do spray foam it too will be in direct contact with the metal siding and roof .
I’m not putting in a drop ceiling because with radiant heat the heat stays from floor level to about the 10 ft mark . When I went to my friends house he had me go up to cat walk storage area about 12 feet up it was cold up there and about 68 at the bottom of the stairs . His building I believe has 18 ft walls as he’s in the excavation business and needs to work on large equipment. He’s helping me do the slab
Do you think they wouallow the prodex on under the metal or just on the frame then the 3". Anything to get the shell/building envelope sealed to reduce any thermal bridging would help, even 3/8 fanfold would make a difference.
That's interesting, never heard that befor 🤔. Maybe your buddy could help me install some in mine 😆. It's amazing how much you can learn when you just do it, unfortunately I don't think I'll be the one benefiting from what I'm learning on my building 😀. I'm really hoping if I need another one built, that my boy is making enough money to pay for it so he doesn't have to help  .

Busch is the reason here.:drinking:
There was the other guy who biked to work about 10 years ago. Get near him on most Monday mornings and you'd get buzzed off his breath, but he liked Jack Daniels and that was why he had to bike to work. He was only at work a couple of months and sent home more than a few times then ended up being a "3 day no call no show" and fired. As other people said I'll only drink Busch (in a can or bottle) if it's offered to me, but I won't buy it or any other light beer other than Coors Light and that's a a rarity when I do that.

My 10/22 is an older Sporter model. Likely needs a spring or two replaced. I did replace the trigger assembly with a newer one, the trigger is much better, and it helped a bit, but the jams did not go away. My 10/22 functions better with high velocity ammo but still has some jams. It shoots Winchester HPs far more accurately than any other bullet I have fired, where as my Marlin will fire them all about the same.

I rarely get 2 - 10 round mags through it w/o a jam.

I can put any bullets I want in the Mark II, and it NEVER has a jam!

Yea Roger. As far as 22LR goes. I've had my best luck firing CCI "mini mags" through my 10/22s. Some of the cheaper Federal and Remington target ammo wasn't as reliable.

You guys should grab a remington 597. Been the most reliable semi 22 rifle I've ever owned. Only had a handful of failure to fire out of it. Not anymore then what I'd get out of any of my bolt/pump/lever 22's when you get a squib. Pretty darn accurate too. My biggest gripe is the meh trigger and the factory extended mags arnt real heavy duty.

These California forest fires are something else. Heard from my uncle that my cousin's house was burned to the ground and sounds like most of the town went up. Living in the deep forest with historically very little risk of wildfire, we often take for granted how quickly fire can burn in other areas.

I wasn't sure of the model so I took a look. Turns out it's a Taurus TX22.🤦20250108_190701.jpg

We ran about 150 rounds through it and had no malfunctions.

I decided on a chicken dinner today, so deep fried chicken for dinner it was!

Add a few trimmings and you have quite a feast!

10/22 was a fun project

Shaw barrel
Forgot the trigger and bolt company’s name

It’s amazingly accurate, but that 94/22 is ridiculously accurate for a lever .22

The Henry isn’t a slouch, but the other two are hole in hole guns with the CCI mini mag

Meanwhile the 77/17, it’s a good rifle, but I haven’t found the magic round for it yet. Tried Hornady 17gr vmax and CCI 17gr vmax (red tip for the Hornady black tip for the CCI, go figure) Remington 17gr accutip (green tip) and 20gr CCI “Gamepoint”

Anyone got a 17hmr they like I haven’t listed??
