Been looking at wood stoves for my in-laws place the last couple months. Found one of these for 50% off this morning and pulled the trigger.image.jpg

That should be a very good stove. Very similar to my Osburn (same company makes them and the specs look the same)
I have had mine 15 years and love it
I like that it will take a 22" split facing N-S. makes it easier to accomodate a variety of wood.
See above (somehow got inserted between your text)

That looks like an alabama municipal de-icing operation. During the Jan blizzard aftermath, the tv showed a city employee sitting on a tailgate of a pickup sowing the sand/salt by hand, like sowing seed.
Ya gatta do what ya gatta do to get by .

For those who don't think NY gets much snow, there is a town in Central NY that has had 25 feet so far this year!

Wow!
This is the town near my mountain place, even our big winter 2 years ago isn’t as much. But Mammoth Lakes got 59 feet that winter.

It was such a nice day today, I took the new tractor out and plowed the few inches of snow that fell since the last time I plowed,

I've got a 220V radial arm saw. Works on house power, but not on the generator. The generator 110V runs the hand held grinder great. Both legs are 116V. I found testing videos on YouTube, to identify which component is faulty. Haven’t started testing yet. Also found one showing what screw to turn to increase the output. It’s a Troybuilt 7800. The guy I got the saw from ran it on an 8000, to show me that it worked. I think worse case scenario, the alternator isn’t putting out quite enough power. Might be something else too.

My generator is actually rated higher than the one the guy ran it on to show me it works. IMG_20250221_125640.jpgIMG_20250220_130458.jpg
