Have any of you received any complaints from your customers if you sold them EAB ash? I'm curious if any of the bugs or larvae crawl out once indoors or on the fire.

There was a thread about this a few years ago but I'm curious if we have more up to date observations given the damage these green bugs have been doing to our forests.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

My understanding is the bugs either vacate or die once the tree is dried. So unless someone brings freshly cut wood indoors there shouldn't be a problem.

Eab still in Full swing around here, Quarantined areas and the like for firewood transport- means little as those little buggers can fly and a good wind pushes them a long way. The whole thing is a rehash of the Elm problems back in the 60's and 70's ( didn't help much then either). I had an ash tree I took down & burned a good 3-4 years before the official word came down. It had all the classic symptoms.
