I was just curious what would be a lot or to many hrs for a skid steer loader before it starts to need major work? anyone?

Hours on a skidsteer are usually pretty irrelevant. Mostly, it depends on usage conditions and operator skill. Most of the time skidsteers are used so hard that 3000 hours is considered high. Also, the working environment is important. i.e. asphalt is hard on drive trains!!!!
With proper care and maintenance, a good bet is 3000-4000 hours befor major work.
