I'm in the market for a skid steer with mulching head, have look at a few but would like to get the opinion of the experts. I will be using it for other applications other than mulching, that's why I'm looking at the skid steer instead of a machine for mulching only.

From what I've looked at ASV or Bobcat stand out.

You have a big selection out there but one or two is having trouble with to much heat & starting fires.
High flow hyds. is a must.
I was looking at them a few years back & had a bunch bookmarked but lost them cleaning out my computor.

hydraulic hp

i would agree with the T320 over the T300. i have never run a mulching head but have put a few hours on a cold planer. the hydraulic hp is the same but you have more engine hp so it will not bog down as much.

I am also entertaining these ideas. trying to establish a project base to help make sure i can afford the machine, but thats a whole other issue...

I am looking at the CAT multi terrain loader. the 277C is what i think ill be able to effectively use for a shear head as well as on a mulcher. I like the cat drive system, its really nice.

i think its tough enough for the woods, Any input on these tracks in less than optimal terrain?

these ventures are always interesting, but cant win if you dont play, right?!
