saw them at the echo dealership the other day. soft sided zip up bag with room for powerhead and bar attached.
just wondered what everyone thought of that idea.
I dont use a case myself and rarely throw on a bar sheath

I'd love to find a good soft sided case for my 026 Stihls. I put them in the trailer with my firewood and have always worried about them bouncing around. I don't like putting chainsaws in my Toyota 4runner because of the gas smell and possible harm to my Yellow Labrador.

Sounds like a good idea if the price is OK and the durability seems good.

I would think they'd be less bulky than a hard case, and you could throw them in the wash once in a while, but still sounds messy and short lived.

Probably great for the guys that like to keep multiple saws super clean, the collectors.

the bag was in a plastic bag, so I didnt touch it, but it looked pretty durable, like made out of the same stuff as vinyl truck seats only softer/pliable.
just mean it looked tougher than being made out of a bed sheet or bath towell.
I'll have to look closer next time I'm in there. (its the equipment rental place/echo dealership)

just looked at ebay, didnt see one listed there.

I certainly couldn't use them for my 353. Even if I crack the fill cap it still dribbles bar oil. A soft case would be a mess to clean up. I do use the hard shell cases but have found the square Hq case too bulky. I prefer the contoured hard cases, protects the saw from bouncing around or fire wood banging into it in the pickup. If you transport the saw inside the vehicle it keeps the interior clean. The hard shell case is much easier to clean.

The Husqvarna bags are a great if you want a durable soft sided bag. They are like a big hockey bag with a sheet of 1/4" plywood on the bottom for strength.

If your Yellow Lab is anything like my old girl used to be, I'd worry a lot more about the Lab harming the saw. Tough old girl and ate anything.

The husky bag is nice and durable. The only thing I see wrong is that it's kind of a pain to get the saw in and out of the bag vs. the plastic case.

In that case you'd really hate a Dolmar 5100s!:D

OK, I'll be good!
