i got some 8x8 and some 12 inch round aspen and 2 stands with binders to hold the wood down hard so the wood won't move maybe i could get somebody to ride down with me

Hmm... I hadn't been following this thread, but google tells me that it's only 130 miles from my corner of the world. I don't know if there should be 2 DN361s there tho, might cause some disturbances in the Force.

Well dont let a 130 miles stop you. i got 160 miles in front of me to get there.
I also hope to make it to Hopkinsville ,KY area this year for the Murray, Ky even in Oct (i think).

I went to the Murray event last year. That was just over 4 hours for me. We went down the night before and got a motel.

hey I want in on this whats it take to be invited . I don t have a bunch of fancy saws are anything . I like to cut wood and I can bring my climbing gear to if you want to do some climbing I am not real a good climber but I am interested .

I'd like a few (or more) climers show up. I can put bells in a tree and we can go up, and out limbs, touch the bell to prove you got there. or not. whatever.

as far as space, I only have room for about 200, so I don't think a few extra will be a probem


need to start a list of guys/gals that are going to attend and how many they are bringing with. just so I have a number to tell the caterers and the sponsors I have gotten set up.
also tell me what you want to do, ie, watch, mill, climb, cut, timed cuts. maybe what size wood you plan to cut/want to cut. if I have too much wood, I can throw it over the hill. not enough sux

Okay I really want to go

it is about 3 hrs of drive for me so I got to ask my girl whats up for that weekend so I am going to wait before I tell you if I am going or not . What I would really be interested in is the climbing part so I might not even bring my saws . The only saws that I have that would worth racing would be handsaws and I dont think that would be that interesting . I will probably bring my girlfriend if that is okay . I try to bring her to all this type stuff I think it might be starting to spark a little tree interest in her.
