April 14 works for me. my b-day is the day before so I can use that as leverage to get a day off by myself.:greenchainsaw:

huh, mines the 19th...

Thats cool. You and my brother share the same B-day. His is 4-19-71. If we do have this at your place do you reckon you could come up with a nice log for milling? Im itching to try out my 084 on the Alaskan.

a quick look at my profile will show you my Bday is 4/19/71 also. hmm, supposed to be an odd but not wierd sort of personality tracked along that b-day. (4-19-71) there was another in sept I think same way. might hafta PM you about him. see if we act the same. bad day for the world too (4-19) rev'y war, waco, ok city bomb, there are others. historychannel.com used to have a date researcher on it. dont know if it still does....

anyhow, yeah, I have a nice 8' 24" cherry log (well, tree) that I have to remove sometime soon when it dries up. I can set it up and you'all can mill all you want on it. can get others as well if theres an interest beyond that one log.
the place is open and available if you folks decide its not too far away. I dont want to take over this thread, just offering is all. lemme know

April 14th no good for me=see below

April 28th is better for me. But I am only one person, I am cutting with some kind of saw almost everyday just for fun anyways. Enjoy and have fun all.

Not good for me, but I dont care. Will be watching Hotsaws in Chardon, Ohio that weekend.

I want to run that DN361 bad too.

If you really want to run one, and cant nail down a time when anyone will be there with one, let me know and Ill ship mine to you sans B&C.

Or if you really want to try one, and cant wait till the GTG, let me know and Ill throw it in the mail.

I think so. You're the only one that's offered to host it and I'm willing to make the drive. Sounds like April 28 is the best date. If there are no objections, we'll go ahead and set that as the date. I don't have the experience to organize this event as I've never even been to a GTG. I'm counting on you guys to help me out here. As far as I'm concerned, we can simply cut beleytree's firewood for next year:D , and have a little fun while we do it. Throw in some timed cuts here and there, mill up that nice cherry log and I think we'll have our selves a good time. We will have to decide what we're going to do for eat.

OK, sounds good. I will supply the eats, I can get it catered for next to nothing. I will supply drinks, but you bring your own brews as mentioned b4.

maybe as it gets closer we can hammer out how many are comming and I'll know how many cutting logs to have on hand. I am contacting the dealers here to come setup and bring saws to demo, and bring chain and small parts to sell (rims and such) and maybe setup a genny hooked to a chain grinder to test angles or just to play with. I'm sure the rental place and the dolmar dealer will come at least, and probably the husky dealer too. stihl would be up in the air as It will be an hour drive for them or slightly more.

I can most likely get my buds at the local equipment rental place to loan a bobcat for setting logs on cut stands. god knows I spend about $6K a year with them, so they should!

If there's anything else I left out, tell me and we will get it.

cut, send me a pic of your log stands for cutting and I'll build them/get them built.

Ralph, If I come will you demonstrate Stihls twist lock oil caps?

Seriously that is a busy time of year around here but we will try to make it with a couple of our old dull and stock saws.

Sounds like we got ourselves one helluva host boys! If there are any more millin nuts coming let me know as Ive recently come into about 10-15 pieces of uni-strut off of a demo job that I will gladly pass around. Itll make fine rails. (Thanks Casey).
