Southern WI is getting hammered

Had over 8 inches of rain so far. Got 3 sump pumps running to keep up. Now have a 20 acre lake that was planted with vegetables next door part of which is under 5 feet of water.

The house is now on a very small island.

A lot of places look like that. A neighbor filled in a low spot over the fall/spring to put in lawn and it is now a lake drawing near to the window wells of their new addition.

We're starting to get calls for wind throws and heaves, should be a busy week.

Some areas have multiple large trees down on small lots. I just heard the White Fish Bay has a LOT of downed trees.

And let me tell you, the mosquitoes are HUNGRY this morning in the woods.

The numbers are up and the darn things are aggressive this year. We have to keep pets and small children inside up here. The skeeters try to pick them up and fly away with 'em.:jawdrop:

We finally got a little hail up here, but mostly nice steady rain (which we need). Hope everybody is still safe and you arborist guys make some $$$$ cleaning up.

The skeeters are crazy up here this year, must have something to do with the halfway normal winter comming into a summer with some rain again. Last 3 years for sure have been drought. Drought or Flood? take your pick.

we've been a little rain up here--not to much though. Really feel bad for what you guys down south are dealing with all the snow this winter and now this rain! stay safe , work hard get through it all.

hey guys first chance to sit down we have been going crazy down here.we have removed 5 extremly large trees off of houses down here and large limbs off of property cars and decks i will try to get some pics up.two of the houses got crushed we boarded them up and then tarped it.friday i didnt even no it we had tornado warnings going off and we were taking down an ash that started ripping out of the ground with 60 mph winds.it was my buddies house with his wife and two girls he is serving his second tour in Iraq got it down its fun when you got to grab a branch and it swings 10 ft from you we had to make them safe or it would have taken out the house.

Rain, hail, winds, tornadoes, flooding, mud slides, and disappearing lakes.

At least its supposed to be over, from the sky in 48hrs. The surface water will be around for awhile though, anyone want to buy some waterfront property?

And did you read that where Lake Delton had disenroled in the federal flood insurance program due to disputes with topo maps???? No one in the muni has flood insurance now!!!
