Indeed, funny thing is its only 60 miles from where I grew up.
Its a sign...lol

Ash may be there in a decade or two allso.

We have a few stands of chestnut here in WI, the blight is in them and the decline is being studied.

Dave Ryan knows a fellow (90+ y/o) who is cultivating them and spreading them aroung Greenlake County.

I've heard that the blight is saprophytic in redwood, so has become endemic to the state...

Yeah, I don't recall seeing much redwood when I lived in WI...

The blight is in live oak too; not virulent but chronic.
