I find them very comfortable. The only real problem I find in general is that my rope keeps getting jammed in the tight angle between the gaff and the ankle brace.
If you have the ratcheting straps they have a finer "veneer" of setting but have problems inn real cold weather (it's 13 out there right now, waiting on my customer to figure out what to do with the gelled diesel in the chipper
).
As with anything, check the screws on the brace regularly.
