Squirrel max climbers

Have any of you used these squirrel max climbers I found them on arborist.com from what I got from the three videos is the guy (unknown name) took normal steel bucks and fashioned a pad that swivels he claims it takes all the shock from the shank when kicking in. Sorry no link but arborist.com sells them for 500 bones and it's just a steel buckingham climber with a swivel pad on it I can't picture that foam and swivel being worth the extra cash when you can rock baselines or geckos for just a **** hair more.
