Stacking wedges

So they would have to be slotted and stacked before the back cut is made. Or so I would think... which to me would seem to pinch your saw in the back cut, as Climbing Cutter said.

When I was shown this, I believe the solution to bar pinching was to face cut, bore cut & set hinge, leaving a good strap off to the side. Cut slots, stack wedges, then trip strap. Am I right?
