Stihl 032 Clutch Has Me Confused. Help

Well, here is the last sentence in all that .

Current Mediacat info says to use 9523 003 4440 (but seems to indicate that a different spur gear and thrust washer are needed?).

Damn.

Well, I milled out the boss around the shaft, used the flat washer and it works. So, how about that.

Hey zero junk, I have a similar issue but on an 031, can you just clarify what you mean when you said you milled the boss around the shaft? What boss was that?

I hate to say, but I don't recall. I'm an old man and that was several hundred saws ago.
