Hey there folks,
Been working my Stihl 044 hard on some red pine removal and it requires a lot of brush dragging in between cuts. So while I am humping brush around I like to leave the saw running. Just yesterday however I found that it doesnt maintain the idle. I make the cut, lay off the throttle, it sputters, and quits. This requires me to restart the saw by going back to choke 1 pull, then two pulls on "hot start." After that it fires right back up.
Any ideas on what the problem is?
