Hey guys I have an 066 chainsaw pre decompression valve and the bugger is overheating to the point of smoking from under the top cover I know it is not tweaked out,It wont run at a fast idle like it's sucking air it has me stumped thanks.- Daniel Boone :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

Sound like you have it nailed - it has an air leak and is running very lean.. Pull the muffler - you may have already melted the rings into the piston.

Pressure test it...

If the top end is trashed, I have two used sets for sale, let me know.

Casey, we need to to talk... Don't go selling anything half decent unless you want to buy a new one for your current saw! I'll send you an email tomorrow...
