Stihl 08s rebuild

My uncle has an 08s that is really good condition that was in perfect running condition yeeears ago when he stopped running it. The outside is very nice and this one has the chain brake. What is this saw worth? I ask because he wants to sell it and does not want to low ball himself but does not want to ask too much and never sale it.

Unfortunately, it's not a very valuable saw. I wouldn't pay more than $50-$100 for a runner.

I need a clutch cover/oiler/handle assembally for one i have in a box waiting for a rainy day.

We do, but I'll have to ask Charly if he'll part with them. I don't know how many clutch covers that aren't cracked, though. I'm really hoping these are a weld able magnesium alloy, were getting a tig in a few months.

I also had good success lowering the intake port ~ 1mm. I'm currently working on an expansion chamber, mostly for the hell of it. Ill throw up some pics soon.

need a cover for my stihl 08s

Hello,

a tree fall over my stihl 08s and has broken the upper cover. Does anybody knows where I can buy one from? Otherwise the machine is in perfect working condition.
