Stihl 290 Filter cost?

Does the 290 have the filter that you can split? like the 028. I take and half them and clean it that way I can spray air from the inside out so I dont work some of the dirt deeper into the filter. I had a 029 but only for a month or so and traded it in for a 036, and cannot remember how the air filter was on it.

Yes you can split the filter on a 290. It has two little tangs on the side. Just take flat blade screwdriver and pop it open at the tangs.
