I have run husky's primarily, but I am wondering what everyone thinks about the new stihl 441

Welcome Climb it, the 441 has been discussed in length in a thread titled "The prince of saws" do a search for it and you will be reading for days.

Now we need Ralph to lock this thread so it doesn't turn into another 5000 posts of banter and shenanigans. :hmm3grin2orange:

Its a terrible saw. It has disappionted everyone. No recall's, no come backs, no failures of any sort, super smooth, easy on gas, plenty of power, man that saw really sucks,LOL. Its everything many thought it wasn't going to be. Try it, you'll like it, I do. Husky's equal model is the 575 from what I've been told. Run em both and see whatcha think. You can't get a valid opinion on this site on either the 575 or the 441 because so few on here own either one. So go run them. I've only used the 441 and I can vouch for mine, I like it.

I demoed one and was quit happy with it. If givent he choice between it and a 575, which I have also ran I would take the 441 without reservation.
That said prefer the 372 to both of the above mentioned for a variety of reasons.

No problem. I just bought one last week and I'm not sick of hearing or talking about it.

I'm thinking about sell my 460 that is less than 90 days old
and buying a 441, just to see what all the talk is about. So
I'm not tired of reading about the 441 also.

Just happened To stop by my dealer today to pick up more .404 rivets and He was telling me that the 441 he has instock would look really nice under my tree...So we gots to talking and prices came up..:D Well .....:D :D

Trigger, WHY would you want to do that? That would be like me selling my 088 to get a 028. :deadhorse:

The saw's are just a hobby and I'm like a goose, I wake up in a new
world every day :D I also have a 028 super that I'm going to trade
on a MS260

What he said. I like mine.

I happened to be in my favorite saw shop today, looked at the 361 and 441. I was really impressed with the 441, build, design, NICE. Good thing the owner was out and just his ole man watching the counter for him else I might have had to test drive 'er. I know that would have lightened my pocket book and put me in the dog house back home. At least I would've had a shiny new Stihl to rest my head on.:hmm3grin2orange:

I'll be back after the New Year, might have to make room on the shelf for one of those bad boys.

Agreed. Nice saw, but a step backwards. The 460 is hard to beat.
