I am hoping that someone will have the answers to these questions. Were all 028's made in virginia beach? Did they all some with plastice recoil/pullstart covers? Did they all come with the small clutch drum/sprocket drive? I have been enjoying my nearly new 028 Super and these are some things that I have noticed that are different from Stihl's other commercial saws. Thanks for your responses.
Regards,
George W.

No, were first made in Germany. First models have magnesium starter covers. All have the same size cluth, first models had 2 piece with sprocket separate from drum, spur type, not rim. Later models have rim or 1 piece spur sprocket.
