only time I rather run the battery saws, when im starting at 5-6am, we arent allowed to make any major noise till 7am, talking is OK but the chipper or saws gotta stay off

also up dead silver maples, not yanking on a pull cord is really nice

Says 44 min cut time per charge with the MSA 300. That’s pretty incredible if that’s nonstop cutting wood but I’d be surprised if it is. It looks like an animal though.

my thoughts on the bars
I think they look pretty sweet, but that paint might, MIGHT last me 2 weeks of heavy work, I wouldnt buy one of those bars just based off how they look, but now it doesnt matter
TBH, after a month you wont know the difference, ya get used to stuff for 1, and 2 the paint wears off quick, its not meant to last, just there to look pretty on the hook in the saw shop

I think the going electric thing is more based off the government and not stihl themselves, my understanding is these companies get a letter saying "go electric by 20XX or we will shut you down"
isn't California banning ALL small engines this year? maybe im mistaken but I thought for a few years now ive been hearing 2024 was the last of the small engines in CA

so, I run a T540iXP Husqvarna, 2 batteries lasts almost a full day of removals, cutting <8" oak, hackberry, maple, locust, etc
if its only prunes and not chunking bigger wood, a single battery lasts almost 2 days, id say in total I get well over 44 minutes of cut time per charge,

I use BLi200X batteries, which I believe are the smallest husky makes also, they are pretty light hence not using a bigger battery, if I need that much more power, for less weight I can use my 200T

ive lived there 3 times, lake Shasta once (redding area) and twentynine palms twice, it honestly wasn't that bad, but its been like 3 years since I was there, main kicker was gas prices, ive been to LA but it was also 6 or 7 years ago atleast, im sure LA and San Francisco are reallllly bad tho
