Hello.

If Stihl ms212, Husqvarna 440, Echo CS-4010 were the same price, which one would you get ?

They are all in the 40cc area.

I cut small wood, like 8" diameter hardwood sruff. Have 30cc saw. Thought maybe to have one more as primary saw and to keep old one as back up.

40cc thought would give me slight edge. Not sure though unless i try it.

I own a 440 with modded muff and while it would toy with 8" stuff, my other mid 40ish cc saws cut circles around it.
1st firewood saw I grab is my MS 250, fantastic cutting saw.....45CC

Any suggestions in 40cc range ?
Seems that depends on European market per your signature.

Is remarkable that Stihl ms250 remains available (USA). Logistical choice. But, prehaps more saw than needed for 8" stuff.

If I wanted 40cc, reliable starting, adjustable oiler, & lighter weight 10# pho.. would watch for a low hour used Echo cs400 on cheap. Already 3/8 LP then fit 14" or 16" bar. Yes, if Europe available cs420ES (.325 w/ Rim, right?)

I would not reject an available Echo cs361P, 8# pho, fine 14" or 16" bar. Bit out of date style. Strong cutter if remove Cat Muffler or install cs355T open muffler. More nimble than above 2 models. But, plastic & bit seem lighter duty. Such as tiny, nearly non-existent, felling spike.
