Stihl ms260 cylinder

Got a 260 the other day was told it was seized up. It was seized up it i got it unstuck was just curious if I should buy a new jug or if I can still use mine would like to stay with oem if possible I did run a home in the cylinder a little nothing catching thanks for your input this is on the exhaust port

You need to remove the aluminum transfer to see if the plating has scoring in it. Don’t use a hone, especially to remove transfer

There is still a lot of transfer around the ex port. You need to clean that off and see if there is any damage underneath it.

Good chance to will clean up fine. Easy to ruin a cylinder using a hone.
