I've got about 12 hours on my new 270 and I cleaned it up today. I noticed some dust had gotten past the air filter. This doesn't seem like it should happen.

Is this common? Are there better filters from another company?

Not sure if the dust is coming through the filter or getting in around the filter. I have some K&N filter grease which I used on my ATV filters. It's specifically intended to help seal the joint where the filter seals around the plastic housing. Does anybody else use filter grease to help seal the fit?

it does hurt ( the pocket that is ) any time i buy a saw i order h.d filters
which are black and dust bands to go around them, makes a HUGE difference to carb, only thing is you have to keep them VERY clean and wash them regular or else you could run the risk of oxygen starvation and seizure so only get them if the saw is going to be used by an experienced operator

No H/D available for a MS270. Although the seal on that series was greatly improved, grease won't hurt

Can we get rid of this douche?

Taken care of, I see!
