So I pulled the clutch off the 044 to see what is in there. Never had one off a Stihl before. Well it was interesting. So what drives the "spring and worm gear" what is the function of the "spring". Every thing in there was like new, does the bushing need any assembly lube??

I'm going to have to bring you a 6 pack of Canadian beer for all the information you have given me!!!
And thanks Ultra, I spun the drum by hand till it seated.
soI guess the "seating" is the spring engaging in the drum, makes sense when you think about it.
Now I know why the notch is there to.
Pays to think EH!!

I never did well with those!!!
But I have got myself in trouble as a youngster as I was never happy with anything unless I tore into it to see what made it tick!!! Some of that has not left me yet!!! Just can't leave stuff alone!!! LOL
It's those darn hidden must of been broken before clips that get me!!!!
