Geez, how I hate hand injuries.

The worst I had was in metal shop in Middle School. A big drill bit in a drill press snapped off and flipped into the palm of the hand I was holding the item in. :dizzy:

It cut a bunch of spiral wounds in my palm. The spiral-like scar is still in my palm.

One that was more painful yet, about 10 years ago - My left hand was flat holding a piece of wood I was driving a screw into with my cordless drill. The screw fell sideways and the spinning Phillips bit drove though the top of my nail.

I just got down on my knees, leaned on the counter, then decided to lay on the floor because I could tell the innevitable passing out for a moment was on it's way.
Ha ha I stapled my hand to the deck once guys came running over and
trying to figure out how to get me loose I told them to get me side cutters
and calmly cut the y crown and lifted my hand off. It is weird for some unknown reason I only get nervous when I think something is going to happen, but when it happens I am completely calm never have understood it,but helps to take the right action!

I've bent the aluminum tube twice in the last couple of years. It happens when you least expect it & it gets costly. But for the amount of use & convience it affords the total cost of repair is minimal . Where in the heck was this tool forty years ago ? We could have done most uplift trims from the ground ! Well I guess you just have to eat your mistakes & life goes on. Stay cool & carry on.
