Wow! Looked like he really hammered the husky too.

This must be why I can be so lazy about saw maintenance, and still have no problems (to speak of). Husky kicks ass.

I do have two 200T's however.

200Ts are the exception to the rule.

otherwise,Kraut saws suck!

SOM like's Stihls because Husky power makes him soil his Depends.

Video is a joke, yes until recently Husky had superior air filtration.
But the how good is good enough, obviously the Stihl engineers had it figured out well enough to lead the world in saw sales for decades and are pulling away from all the others in marketshare today. There are tens of thousands of thirty year old Stihls getting the job done world wide. Husky makes a fine saw, the 346 I have is as good as it gets, but the air filtration was not a factor in the buying decision. Air filters prevent crap from going down the fuel system in the combustion chamber, I think the Stihl filter prolly did it's job.

I like husqies better than stihls, but their dealer network sucks. They keep loosing market share by mass merchant selling their products, taking chainsaw dealers and making them buy lawnmowers, etc.

In their quest to dominate the US market, they keep hiring managers that are jerks who don't care about the dealers. So they loose them regularly.

The fact is you can dump all that crap on the Stihl and it doesn't lose power or RPM's at all because it has a little feature called an Intellicarb. It may look dirty but it keeps going fine, Husky's on the other hand don't fair as well with a little dirt on the filter. Gimmick video.

Combine the Air Injection with the Intellicarb and now you have something, which I believe both Husky and Stihl are doing now.

We used Husky religiously since the early 80's. They were always more powerful, reliable, and easier to work on than Stihl. They still are easier to work on. Today they have a little more power than stihl, but that is it.
Husky has changed. Husky engines are still powerful, but they don't last as long as Stihl. I don't give a crap about their superior air filtration. It doesn't speed up my day or make me any more money. I still prefer husky for their larger saws but all small and medium stihls are superior.
