Are you serious ?? I know a lot of guys than run amsoil in their diesels. I guess I will be looking at other options for my diesel before switching over to synthetic.

Bwalker as a amsoil dealer i would like to see your evidence please.

So... why do you have Mobil MX2T listed in your sig, and not Amsoil? any reason you're not using it?

X2

n using it at 40:1 also.

Dont you Amsoil guys say you can run like 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000:1 mixes witth that stuff?

being a dealer doesn't mean a live and die for amsoil, its a job! i use mobil for my saw based on the recommendations from this site. plus amsoil says to run saber oil at 100:1 no way. I use and sell amsoil because i believe in the data that they provide me for vehicles. mostly diesel engines. I am not bashing Mobil at all, i use their gas and their oils, i believe they have great products, but i just wanted to see evidence that Amsoil's base oil is mobil thats funny.

Call up Superior and ask them where their oil refinery is.....oh yea, thats right they dont have one.:hmm3grin2orange:
As for the comment I made about Amsoil using Mobil base oils. Its absolutley true and was related to me by someone in Amsoil's org who's name I will not mention. It really makes sense when you consider that Mobil has a near monopoly on certain types of PAO and ester base oils.

Maybe despite being a Scamsoil dealer, the guy is pretty smart.
FWIW I have tested a few Amsoil products and in general they are not that bad. Not that great either and the cost is laughable given the mediocrity.

Real means "not Amsoil" etc..

whats wrong with amsoil? ive been running amsoil premix im my quads 50:1 for years. those are 50hp+ 200 psi engines. i love amsoil. after break in i plan on running it in my saw, is there something i should know?

I know guys that run amsoil in their diesels for 75k to 100k on the same oil and have no problems. They get an oil analysis about every three months or so.

Many over the road trucks and more than a few Cummins/Dodge diesels have went 1 million miles on dino oils like Rottella T. What advantage does Amsoil offer?
I would also love to see the oil analysis on a pick up truck ran for 75,000 on any oil.

Rotella is what I run now in my diesel, but there are guys that post the lab analysis results of their oil on several diesel websites. All these guys run is amsoil. Go to dodge-diesel.org and do a search on it, should be plenty of results to look at there from the labs.

I have seen many of those, but never anyone that ran a truck 75000 without changing the oil.
I have ran my cummins for 20k on Mobil Delvac 1 synthetic with good spectro results and have ran 10k on Mobil dDelvac 1300 dino oil with good results as well.
Even with bypass filtration 75 K is way long for a pick up truck.
