Is there a special way to install a crank in case bearings with a plastic bearing cage? I was going to freeze the crank and use heat on the bearings/case until I seen the plastic (cases are new with bearings from Stihl btw). I have the Farmertec tool for the clutch side, but don't have a puller for the flywheel side on a 660. I guess my question is, are you guys still using low heat with freezing the crank or pulling the cases together with the screws?

Thank you.

Don’t pull the cases together using the case screws. Freeze the crank, heat the bearings (already installed in the case halves) with a heat gun to 200F or so and gently tap case with a rubber or plastic face mallet/hammer. This process has worked well for me when I didn’t have the factory assembly tools available.
