I live back in the woods a mile from the road. i had me welder chop saws bandsaw grinders bender and a couple customers saws stolen out of my shop one night.

I found everything but the welder at the pawn shop 2 days later.

Were they able to track down the people that pawned the stuff, or did they use bogus ID?

I would add into that category people that knowingly buy from thieves, and when they get caught with stolen goods, try to sell them to the unsuspecting-had dealings with a parachute school operator a few years ago that was reselling rigs that had been stolen from the Army, and knew it for a fact. Scum.

Somebody probably already said something like this, but people really need to stop leaving thier valuable stuff out in the open for people to steal. A thief in my area could steal a lot of stuff cuz nobody ever locks anything or hides anything. So far theft ahsn't been a problem though. I always lock up my stuff or put it out of plain site if I'm not near something I can lock it in.
