In Austin, Texas, about 6PM last night, my co-worker got home and was too tired to off-load his stuff. A couple drove up to his complex supposedly to look at a chest of drawers his neighbor was selling. They were in a late-model, bright red Dodge pick-up. While the gal looked at the piece of furniture, the guy apparently checked out my buddy's truck. When the gal came out after not buying the chest of drawers, the guy drove his truck slowly while the gal walked back towards my buddy's truck. They were then seen speeding away. The witnesses did not see the actual theft because of the way the apartment complex parking lot is designed, but did see the activities described above. If you are in Austin, Texas or, say, within a few hundred miles, and some guy in a red pick-up tries to sell you the saws (the pole saw is a generic) please get a name, license number, etc., and pm me ASAP.
When I was in the tattoo biz, some idiot college kid stole some stuff from my shop while I was tattooing with my back turned to him. I called all of the shops in town and in less than an hour, the cops nabbed the guy trying to sell my stuff at another shop. It was sweet pulling up and seeing the perp crying his eyes out as he was cuffed and led away, no lie. Hopefully y'all can help end this theft in a similar manner. Thanks!
