I remember back in my youth, about 60-70 years ago, my Dad would climb up on the roof & pour salt down the chimney to quell chimney fire, seemed to work.

Thanks for the replies and more research is needed before installing a magic heat.

Your link is not working, but I have decided not to go with a magic heat. I am going to use a fan to move the heat around now.
