70 cords behind....how many do you sell a year? Is it full time for you?
300-400 area. Yup, 80-100hrs a week.
August through December is the crazy time for me, although I stay darn busy year round. Summer slows down a bit with bulk orders, but we are busy with campfire bundles.
Winter is steady, plus try to do all the logging when the ground is froze. And only have 5-6hrs of daylight, sometimes at -25* so tough to put in long hours outside.
Spring all depends on how things thaw. We can be in the woods till it's no longer froze, and usually stay steady enough to cover at least the bills with early bird bulk firewood. Also try to haul equipment out of the woods if needed and get it ready to go. Big one that hurts is the state shuts down the roads to anything over 14k GVWR to 50% or 75% axle ratings for 2-2.5 months. IE... pretty much empty log truck.
Between being the salesman, plus actually making the firewood, and logging, and keeping a small fleet of vehicles and equipment going, it's alot of work! Probably could keep 4-5 guys pretty busy, but just at that point where I'm too small to be able to afford that kind of payroll.
