I have a john deere cs 46 runs good, extra mild port work, squish set at .022", 195 psi of compression, 18" john deere ( gb ) bar and oregon chain sharpened once. This saw has maybe 10 tanks of gas through it.

Looking to trade for a decent big ( 60 CC + ) stihl or husky progect saw
or long bar 32" + for husky d009 mount with chain

Anyone have interest in Poulans? The old die cast (metal ones?) I ended up with a 80_..something and a 3400. Both seem to have good compression but are missing bits and pieces. The 3400 missing the air filter & cover, the older one a muffler. I don't collect Poulans...only J-reds and Homelites. Will swap for similar parts saws. (Assuming interest and when I untangle from the last months worth of snow related disasters....coming up for air next week!)

Let me see what I got laying around in red. I may have something for you. I don't really collect red saws, just a token one here and there.

Need more info on the saws though.

064

I hate to do this but money is tight and I need my truck more than this saw. I have a stihl 064 that was recently overhauled by Brad Snelling a few months ago. The saw doesn't look the greatest but anything that was worn or damaged was replaced. I am looking for best offer on this saw. I will get a picture up later tonight.

I might even get rid of my husky 266se, doesn't look the best but runs very well.

Willing to trade cash for a running tail-handle reed valve Echo 300/3000/340/3400-series or similar. Doesn't need to be pretty, but it needs to work properly. I don't want the more popular top-handle version, since it's for dad to use on brush, pruning, and to cut stuff small enough to put in his brown yard waste bags, and if I give him a top-handle saw he will use it one-handed and hurt himself...

I just got hold of a Pioneer P42 HP in fair condition that might make a good project. It has good compression, starts pretty easily and runs strong, though could certainly use a bit of clean up and tuning. The rear handle has a weld repair. There is a wear hole in the clutch cover. Clutch looks and works OK. Air filter missing, though the cover is present. A piece of foam has been substituted for the air filter, so at least there was some kind of filtration. It is missing one bar stud. $40 plus shipping, or what have you to trade? I need a Stihl big pattern bar, 36", pref .063 gauge, pref. 3/8 sprocket nose. PM me

I've got an old xl12 that is complete and an xl10 that is 70% there. xl12 sorta runs, just needs a little tlc. they were both drug out of an old saw shop here locally that was going out of business. $25 would take them both home. xl12 does have an old bar and chain on it. could definetely use a new b/c.

I Might know where I can get my hands on a 262 tank, I'll have to check, and I'll PM you and let you know. Hey anybody know what the point and plug gap for a Homelite Prolite is, also anybody got a coil for it, I am getting spark but it is intermitent any ideas please PM me.

Still looking for a large pattern Stihl bar, 36", .063. Going to run 3/8 chain so a sprocket nose is probaly not desirable as it will most likely be for .404. Have cash!

Jimbo

On a related note, how hard is it to mod the small pattern bar to fit a MS880? Is it better to mod the studs? The bigger question is do the oil holes line up?
