That's awful nice of you but the 306 never used that style of muffler.

If you could make some up that would be a good thing, there getting hard to find and I do have one here for a pattern. There just a stud with 12-24 threads on the male end with a 10-24 female hole on the other end. They did have a hex on the female end though to install them with a socket..

I'd be more inclined to make them from hex stock than to set up a seperate operation on a mill just to cut the hex. If I make one I'll draw up a print and save it.

Yup, hex from shoulder to end won't hurt a thing.

I'll PM and post the measurements tomorrow.

Carl.

Now that I think of it, set up a turrent lathe and knock out a 10 ft. bar worth of those and post 'em on evilbay at 5 bucks a pop.

I am lookin for some 394 husky parts.

1-top cover clip
1-decomp valve
2-recoil screws
1-throttle trigger assembly- 503474101
2-handle inserts, and whatever holds them together.
a set of guts for a clutch cover, and a handle.
I am also lookin for a 48" bar for it. I have saws to trade for this.

I realize a lot of these are small parts, but thought it wouldn't hurt to ask. I have quite a bit of old poulan parts and saws, NOS dolmar 112, 114 stuff, some 026 parts, various other name brand parts, and a few green backs.

I have the recoil screws, throttle trigger, and decomp valve. Is your top cover clip the narrow or wide one?

You ain't saying much...

Thanks for the help man! There was supposed to be a picture. Lets try again. I am not sure unless you mean either plastic or these metal ones. This is the saw and clip size. I just snapped a pic of the rear for reference. The side clip is the one broke. Just let me know what I owe you. :msp_thumbup:

Looking for a standard handle for a MS880. Can be well used as long as not cracked or bent.

Let me know what you need or might want in trade

How's this for a 'sketch'.

[---#12-24 x 5/8" long---][-------------------------5/16" hex x 1 17/32" long--------------------] <-----#10-32 tap x 13/16" dp. this end.

Note: The #10-32 tapped hole is way deeper than it needs to be. After all, max strength would be developed on three or four diameters deep.

While Justin is on the 394/5 topic ;).... I need a pair of coils :bang: an inner bar plate, decent muffler, and a 395 carb and a choke shaft & lever for the same tilly carb...

TONS of saw stuff to trade... as well as good conversation; filled with optimism and excitement about the future generations ;)

Looking for a decent Stihl 046 mag filter box cover. Looking for one that is not cracked or repaired. Thanks in advance for your replies.

Although i am from overseas, id like to tell you that i have an NOS OEM, never-attached/never runned, 242 cylinder. These had price tag about 190 euros or so, if i remember right, when they were available. I had a super good 242xp that i was about to restore but i went to modifying instead so this got stuck in my shelf. So its not used, and its not aftermarket, and i would trade it to something.

Cast has markings:
2r..
w3
42zn13 mahle

on top of the jug theres stamped:

0 4
A
6 3

--------------------------------------

i also have dirty scorched 346 OE, and i think i have everything except for the clutch and handle bar for it. I have honed the cylinder and got another usable piston for it, and used it for 2 weeks, in 2150 jonsered at winter.

what else....some black limitless ignition module/s, for 346etc, its from 351 you know, but i might have one un-used as well somewhere, as well as rat condition mufflers for 346 etc....the mufflers of 346 are one of the most replaced wearing parts here, they get beat up while cutting branches and the saw is upright and the muffler drags against tree parts doing that.

piston for 246 husky, piston for 346 NE, and some old piston, that i donno what it fits,i think it might be for 263 or 163.

and, carb kits, pretty nice OEM 357xp piston from 2010 year, some chain pulleys for husky (7 + 8), 254xp cylinder, 242 used cylinders and mufflers, walbro + zama carbs, etc.

But for the cylinder, if you want to trade it to something, i would be interested in ported cylinders with squish cut, for 55 & 346 husky, or bigger carb for either of those, leather lumberjack boots or what you call em, in size 46-46 (11), and if something, i am eager to get 261/262 husky parts or wreck. Hell, about any 60+cc saw powerhead, with pointless ignition might be nice
