I have observed that many made in N. America saws all use the same release valve. Threads are 1/4"-28 t.p.i..

I do know that a Lombard fits a Roper fits a Pioneer/Poulan 655. All same.

Carl, I do agree to an extent.

I have seen some of the same thing across saw brands. Most of the Mac 10 Series saws take the same valve (10-10S/SP81/PM700), but this saw and some other Macs use what is referred to as the valve with the 'coarse' thread. Those other ones are quite common, this one rather rare.

Hi Ed! Good to hear from you, nice (although short) chat we had the other day ..

To answer your question, the PM700 and DE80 have differing covers.

The clutch cover I seek is like the one in the picture below. This style was on the PM800/PM805/8200/DE80. See the ribs on top of the muffler area (there are also some on the rear)? All help is appreciated!

Ted, the only cover I have exactly like the one you pictured is on my 800.
I have the standard 700 style and the DE80 style with the notch for the decomp (picture)
If you want the cover, let me know... I still owe ya for the 1050 muff cover.

anybody got a little husky or stihl project they'd be willing to donate. it's not for me as I currently have no time for one with dirt bike season,n,all. my brother just finished a small engine coarse and believe it or not he didn't work on one saw. just outboards, mowers, trimmers, quads, and dirt bikes. I have some old saws laying around but nothing with real potential. all my project saws get built right away. he tried bumming a runner out of me and that just ain't gonna happen. he's gonna have to work at it just like I did so I told him i'd find him a project. something semi complete but as basket case as it gets would be ideal :msp_thumbup: thanks guys. just shoot me a PM

Looking for the old Granberg File 'n Joint that was made to do chisel chain. I know about all the little jig's faults and inaccuracies, but I'm going to see if a machinist I know can make a 'better' more accurate jig. My own Granberg chisel-chain jig is missing so many parts that it's not really suitable for a build. So....need the original jig in good-excellent shape. Will trade Jonny 80/90 parts, or cash works for me.

I don't remember the #.....mine was worn off yrs ago...but it's not the G-106B and it's not the G-108

Hell, give Granberg a call. I had an old file 'n' joint that broke at the base / mount on one half of it. They were in a good mood when I called and sent me the whole base assembly free of any charge whatsoever. May be in a mood to help you revive yours, too.

Worth a shot.

Done that yrs ago by phone and by letter(remember those?). They have been out of parts and stock of that particular item for a very longtime. Even bought a G-106B for parts and few interchange....none of the critical chisel parts themselves interchange. I see these very rarely on fleabay and they go high....of course.

For my Canadien 275 I'm looking for the starter footplate, actually need 2.

For my Canadiens 270 and 271 I'm looking for bar plates and bucking spikes--large or small. These parts are shared with the 275.

Can't see the file holder itself in your pic, but it looks like it's fixed. The one I had, had bushings where the ends of the file rested-with little markings so you could angle the file different degrees. Yes, it has to hold the double bevel files......which are now $12ea from Baileys. The one that came form Bailey's in the mail today had rust on it. Thank you Bailey's.:msp_thumbdn:
