i am looking for a recoil/starter assembly and a clutch cover for my ms-290. would be even better if it has the ms-290 on the started cover. the ones i have on the saw won't clean up at all.. they look bad. The rest of the saw looks good but these 2 parts. i have 2 brand new oregon bars listed on the classifieds that i would trade for them or just flat out pay for them

Im looking for the quickstop or brake that came on a Stihl 056 Mag 2. My saw has the regular black handle and the slot where the actuator rides, but I need the actual parts and the correct side cover.

I have an old green 25 Poulan but it may not be the other designators you want. It is old enough to vote but not quite for Social Security. I think I bough it in about 1971. My first chain saw but holds no special place in my heart. Powerful for how small of displacement it has. It is a little one hander. Is this what you need? Mike

I have one that will require a helicoil to where the carb bolts to the chasis of the saw. Someone tried to be cleaver and drill the broken bolt out and used the wrong bit.

PS that someone is not me either!!!

If you get the one from Scott, I probably have another carb housing so you wouldnt need to do a thread repair.

Would a saw that pulls close to 180 be good enough donor? Its complete, the one that is stripped down a bit Has the plug thread just a bit tweaked to a point I just could not get the tester to start. Didn't have a thread chase to clean it up.

As long as it doesn't have any scoring that's gonna cause the compression to fall off with use, then a P/C that pulls close to 180psi would be fine. Shoot me a PM with what you need to get out of the jug/piston, shipped to 95472. I'll be in touch again tomorrow morning.

I probably have what you need too Aaron, if you don't get hooked up in the next couple of days let me know and I will do some digging.
