I put a After market crank in a 371 and it lasted a year in a landscape company, but when it died, I'm pretty sure it was from lack of lube.

Brad please try one of the cheap china cranks for $35 and get it out to somebody to run the crap out of it for a year. I still buy oem replacements for $200+ a kit which includes crank bearings, clutch and crank.

All off the bad cranks I have had to replace had been run at :taped: 50:1.

I swear there was some kind of bulletin on this way back to at least switch to 40:1. Ask Andre I think he seen what the lower ends look like at 50:1 too.

Ed (EHP) always wanted his users to run 40:1. I remember him talking about that when he first joined.
