xl-925 and xl-901 and xl-700 all run

i have a xl-925 looks to be in good shape i used it some i got a new tester just tested i am holding 160psi has a 20inch bar runs strong starts good -- also have a homelite xl-901 holding 130 psi needs air filter bucking spike.. piston and cylinder look real good ...
also have great xl=700 i know for a fact this saw wouldnt used much has great compression at 165psi 20inch bar i cut up two loads of wood runs great

We ran the 650 Super a lot the last few days. It's a damn fine old saw.......I can't wait to run it side by side with the 750.

Ive got the clutch cover but who ever ran it before me gutted it, and just ran it with no brake.

got some to trade...or some old confederate bills.

I got the new bearings and AM crank installed in the 372 today. The AM crank installed perfectly. It fit the bearings good, centered nicely, and resulted in a good squish. Dimensionally, I give it a thumbs up. Here's what I'm still looking for.

Cylinder and air filter covers
HD air filter
Air filter elbow
Oil pickup tube and clunk
Inner guide plate
Air channel from flywheel to air box
Chain catcher

I picked up an 032AV thois afternoon. The fellow selling it said all it needed was a bar. I drive nearly two hours to find it was missing the log grip teeth, the clutch cover, bar, chain and cover screws. If anybody has any of these plus a carb kit. I may as well do that while I cleaning. :msp_angry:

Well, I had three of them, and made two good runners out of them, and fairly easy. One I swapped off already, it was the only saw I owned that would start on one pull, cold.

Those are all I have ever touched though..what seems to be the general problems with them? Yes, not as easy to work on as poulans, but....you can make them work. I mean if I can do it, what are all ya'all much more experienced guys running into, that I should look out for, if I score any more of them?
