First off you need to get the lingo down, when you purchase or are given a mini mac it's not called a "score" it's called a "sentence".

Well, I had three of them, and made two good runners out of them, and fairly easy. One I swapped off already, it was the only saw I owned that would start on one pull, cold.

Those are all I have ever touched though..what seems to be the general problems with them? Yes, not as easy to work on as poulans, but....you can make them work. I mean if I can do it, what are all ya'all much more experienced guys running into, that I should look out for, if I score any more of them?

My first mini mac was a runner and continues to be a runner. (mac 110) You just have to squirt mix into the air filter to start it and it is fine after that. I have a little eye dropper bottle specifically for that purpose in the case. May be looking for a good home.

My next two I got for $20 (mac 110 and mini mac 30). Mini mac 30 has issues and the Mac 110 didn't start. Donated the Mac 110 to digger.

I had fun with the one that runs but now have no real reason to use it after getting a Jonsered 2139T, Efco 132s and soon to be at my door step ms200t.

Since we're doing mini-mac confessions....I had one. And it ran ok. I just couldn't use it, it was too small. I don't know if my hands were too big or what, but every time I picked it up, I grabbed the chain brake flag instead of the handle. It just seemed to be where it fit right.

I don't even know where it went, that was years ago.:msp_w00t:

I just fixed one, a PM6, Friday. I get suckered in because that model was the first saw I ran. New recoil spring (NOS, right on the shelf under the half inch of dust) and an air filter from a donor. Install the rope, and pull. Rope comes out, goes back in, saw rarely turns over, like its an easy start. Now I take the cover off again, expecting to find a problem with the prawls on the flywheel. Nope. OK, so the cage on the rewind must be bent in or something. Nope. The cage in the wheel is turning, actually, not turning, when the rope is pulled, sometimes. So now I have to remove the rope and screw holding the wheel on, and let the tension off the wheel, but something happens so the new spring, which took me about 5 minutes the first time, takes me an hour and some to get back in correctly. Now its back together, and the old "it ran great before that" gets me for another half hour, while I remove the assembly to clean the final screen in the carb and put in a kit, after all, in for a penny, blah blah. Where I find the needle has lost the rubber tip, and shes all over now, cause they don't come in the kit that doesn't cost $30, that I need to order from the bay, cause the suppliers I have don't stock them, as in can't even order it. Back to the donor, and then to another, for a used one.

Yeah, these are great saws. Collect all you want, and take the pieces I have too.

Need 3 husky bars .50 or .63. Prefer 30, 32, 34 36. May have some cash, prefer maybe we find a good trade cash not easy these days. thanks fellas!

Can anyone make me a 36" 3/8 full chisel Stihl chain out of some loop they have laying around? Would rather give cash over to one of you guys then "the Bay".
