Hey Dan...

and goodbye. my kid would have been a fourth generation timber faller in this area if things were normal.I do dirt work and drill water wells to make ends meet now.I still clear timber in the way of progress, and have not lost my touch yet.056cull has a lot to learn about life and cutting in my opionion,my life is hard enough without getting wound up on the internet.mods, please delete me. thanks, dan.

Don't let the loud-mouth kids run you off. Remember how it was in the woods? If they don't learn, they don't last. Just put him on your ignore list. And stick around...we don't need to lose you.

Mods, please don't delete him.

Don't give in!

I know things are about as bad as I've seen in the timber industry in my big 31 years. At some point though I think the markets, and demands will improve, maybe You can get back into it later on, hell You can still teach the kid how to cut. I've been blessed enough to run on to enough work to stay afloat, but I know alot of guys that have taken jobs outside their normal work. As far as having stress from issues with folks on the website, I just take it with a grain of salt, everyone has their own opinions, and some folks have a tendency to talk out their a$$, I was brought up to never take anything to personal unless they say it to You're face, then You deal with it like men, and get figure it out. Also some people like to mess with a guy once they know how to get a reaction out of them. Anyhow good luck to ya regardless of You're decision.

The way to handle these things on the internet is to ignore it.

If it is a particular person and you can place then on an ignore list, do that. Or if you see a post with that person's name on it, don't read it.

Or an entire discussion going south, don't read that topic anymore.

Or an entire web site forum going down the tubes, find another forum, there are plenty.

I do this in real life too. If someone says something nasty or negative to me, I stare them in the eyes and don't say a word! If they don't have anything good to say, I don't feel it justifies a response.

That is if they are being nasty and mean spirited. There are plenty of people who say all sorts of "insults" to me joking. That is different and I insult them back of course!

Anyway I have worked with the public most of my life. 95% of people are OK good folks. 5% can be "difficult" to deal with. And 1% can wreck the good day you are having.

Then that 95% good person sometimes has a bad day. Something is going wrong at home or at work and they might be a little "grumpy" that day and maybe go off on someone. That is OK. Most people see this and understand that person is just having a bad day and they let it go...

So in other words, why don't you stay and "forgetaboutit"?

Don't let the kid get to you.

Hes all ready shown us his experience level by his past comments on here. like Randy said before
Come back when you have earned your spurs.
with his attitude it will be awhile before he even gets a strap

No. Sounds like you need more than a Rainier. Might I suggest a Yukon Jack?
Don't let the bad people win. I like this forum because it seems to have less of the punks or in my case, punkettes. :)
