Nooooooooooo I wanna be Obe Wan Kenobi. Sawtroll can be Yoda if he wants. Glad to hear you're having fun on the 390. Good saws dem ones and it's good to mix up brands occasionally. Some people are that fixated on Stihl that even if they used a Husky that flogged their Stihls and felt better they'd still convince themselves they hate it. I've done the large Stihl saw thing, not for me...

Why not? I've had the 25" Stihl ES bars mounted to that exact same saw with the spacers and 84DL 3/8" chain.
Is the chain stretched or something? I know that the Stihl bars have a shorter adjustment slot than the Husky mount bars and sometimes you run out of adjustment.

thats it the slot ain't long enough can't get them .404 77dl chains on it need 2 more dl

edit the bar don't go back far enough the husky bars have a lot more slot must be for the OB cluch

Nah not for the outboard clutch, more the fact that Husky realise that taking a few more centimetres out of the bar is an easy process and causes less headaches later :) Dolmar bars also have the same length bar slot and they're inboards.

I have lengthened Stihl bar slots before to overcome this issue on Huskies and Dolmars.

have dremel will fix as soon as i find a shed i can use it's a bummer here no shed and no vice i could do it on the tale gate on me ute but i will do it properly or not ay all

lol i went the other way since i joined ive gone from 3 to 1, my 2 little 45cc bunnings speicals were stripped over the holidays with a plan to make a motorised esky with the motors. only got the 7901 now not that its seen wood since nov

lmfao i want pictures of that esky when ya done

Um... lost me at 'esky'... what the hell is that? :msp_confused:

An 'esky' is one of those portable beer coolers that you put put ice in. I think the term is a derivative from 'Eskimo', which was a brand of beer cooler. Don't quote me on that, I've only been in Oz for 30 years and the term was around when I arrived.

A motorised esky sounds like a beauty of a project for any petrolhead ozzie - you would be held in awe by your mates.

:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I think there is a translation issue here

Esky = Cooler

the best one so far would be what the aussies call a bum bag, in the us it is called a fanny pack (now all the australians that are reading this are probably pisted off at me for the tea, beer or rum they just sprayed all over their keyboard and screen):biggrin:

Cheers

If you could give me the dimensions that would be good pm if you rather not post them and a pic of the original one will do but if you could get a length of the hole from the cylinder side the whole to the seam side of the hole with the tail end of your vernier that would be terrific, have I confused you?
