Hey we're all entitled to our own opinion Terry. Although I am extremely sceptical of a lot of the media information spread around nowadays it is extremely easy to find a website supporting anybody's views and reinforce their train of thought, no matter how distorted. Linking to conspiracy theory websites really doesn't prove much I'm afraid, particularly those promoting a new "wierd hair growth herb". There are numerous reputable sources of information on all sorts of world issues. Some of us have the ability to decipher what is believable, what is utter BS, and then come up with a relatively informed decision as to what happened. To look at all the facts and then come up with something like 9/11 was a US led conspiracy really boggles my mind. I know it may be easy to dismiss me as "misinformed" or a "media puppet" but I'm actually very well educated with a higher than average IQ.
There were definately dodgey goings on in Port Arthur, of that there is no doubt. There are a number of things from eye witnesses that have been swept under the carpet.
I also believe there were a lot of dodgey goings on after 9/11.
My biggest concern is that by believing the US government is capable of something such as 9/11 completely underestimates the intelligence and determination of an enemy such as Al Qaeda. To think your own government wants to kill you more than Al Qaeda or other extreme islamic terrorist groups is a pretty solid mistake and if you'd spoken to a few people that have operated in either Afghanistan or Iraq since 9/11 you'd probably agree (although you probably wouldn't?).
I don't have a problem with certain aspects of conspiracy theories as I believe many are well founded, however anybody that believes in EVERY aspect of EVERY conspiracy theory needs to stay away from dodgey websites. I can say positively that my brother is now in need of serious mental help after smoking too much weed and gaining internet access. He can find "factual" evidence "proving" that every single mental issue he has is normal and has managed to associate through social forums with other likeminded people telling him exactly what he wants to hear. The biggest problem is he now won't listen to the people that he SHOULD be listening to...

well said MCW:clap:

Hey everbody is entitled to their own opinion mate but there was a reason the political forum on AS got scrapped, and it was from stuff like this getting out of hand.

"You're wrong"

"No you're wrong"

"No I'm not you're wrong"

"I am not, you have no idea"

etc etc

It's bad enough on AS with the Stihl, Husky, and Dolmar arguments without bringing 9/11 etc into it. The All Aussie Dribble thread has stayed on track pretty well I think :)

On another note :D

Not really knowing what a Gillard fan is, but wanting to be liked by the teacher, all the kids raised their hands except for Billy in the front row.
The teacher asked Billy why he has decided to be different.
'Because I'm not a Gillard fan.'
The teacher asked, 'Why aren't you a Gillard fan?'
'Because I'm a Liberal.'
The teacher asked him why he's a Liberal.
Billy proudly answered, 'Well, my Mum's a Liberal and my Dad's a Liberal, so I'm a Liberal.'
Annoyed by this answer, the teacher asked, 'If your mum was a moron and your dad was an idiot, what would that make you?'
With a big smile, Billy replied, 'That would make me a Gillard fan.'

Yeah Matt, I was kinda disappointed in the response by some members of the forum. In fact, I was so taken back that I decided to take the advice of this video - The Corbett Report | 9/11: A Conspiracy Theory

By the way, I never said that the U.S. Government was the prime purpetrator of 9-11 - it was primarily a Mossad operation.

If I unsettled anyone, I apologise and will further refrain from interfering with anyone's beliefs, whether or not those beliefs are justified.

There's no need to reply to this message. Please don't take another crack at me, or I will defend my position.

Well Terry, I looked through that site, and I see how some of the stuff is quite possibly true (Bin Laden died in 01, recent photos are actually photoshopped other folks and whatnot) and some of it sounds a bit farfetched.

So, I have not progressed to wearing a metal garbage can quite yet.

Now the Mossad planned and performed 9/11? Sounds a little farfetched there.

Not calling you out or anything, just letting you know how I read into this info.

Thanks for the link, sure is some interesting info (which I believe some to be true, and some of it to not be true) is some good reading, if you're someone like me that just likes to read.

Rather than freak out a few people on this forum. Give me a PM and I'll give you some more information to research.

No biggie Matt, I've had a lot worse. You should have seen what I had to endure when I was politically active. The old saying 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger', yeah, there's a lot of truth in that. The dirty tricks just keep on coming, you have be able to lick your wounds and have another go. Pretty soon, you start to see the same trick coming around again - only this time you're a whole lot wiser.

Hey Terry, i did read some of your links, interesting reading, and people are welcome to make up their own mind about all this stuff good or not, ( I like reading war Stuff) BUT the bid question i ask myself and anyone at the end of the day does all or any of this info really make a diff to avrege Ozzie bloke?
Its like you know with evey day things you have to deal with anyway like job, money, family, so on and so on will all this info help or make us more confused then this wold already is?

PS i welcome your feedback on this, I am not having a shot at you.

Great question!

Here's the answer - knowledge protects, ignorance endangers.

One of my mate's got swept up in the 'dirty muslims did 9-11' meme. He's a 'Nam vet and revved up his oldest son to enlist. The kid did a tour in Afghanistan, he returned safely. My mate now knows that Israel did 9-11. I would hate to think what kind of grief Ken would suffer if he had lost his son to a lie.

Here's another, the economic system (or pretenses thereof). I could see the lies of the mortgage system and never had a mortgage in Australia. I saved and bought my house and land for cash. I have no debt. Further, I know about the collapse of all fiat currencies and that we are going to go through another one. I bought gold at US$272 and ounce and silver at US$5.40 an ounce.

You begin to pick up a nose for when things aren't quite right. Back in 2000 or 2001 (I forget) I visited the Australian Greenhouse Office in Canberra. I was involved with a biodiesel business back then. I had two conferences with two different people at the AGO. Something wasn't right. Then the penny dropped, they weren't concerned with reducing greenhouse gases - it was a friggin propaganda mill. I would tell my friends, but they thought it was all 'tin foil'. I wasn't surprised at all when the Climategate emails surfaced and all the bodgey science was exposed as a fraud.

There's heaps of things that you can learn that will tie in with one another. As you begin to put the bigger picture together you can avoid a lot of the traps that have been set for the uninformed.

I mentioned that the rabbit hole was VERY deep - well, it is so damn deep I don't even know if it has a bottom anymore. Some of you guys are just starting out, well, if you are serious, you are going to get an education. These silly spook games like 9-11, Port Arthur and the like are easy to research and understand basics - kinda like taking 'MATRIX 101'. However, the biggest hurdle any of you will have is to work around all the mind control that has been fed into you.

You are the master of your own mind. When you come upon something and you feel your mind wanting to 'skip' the information because of cognitive dissonance, take control and assert that you will be the arbitrator of your reality.

I thought I might give you guys a few more leads. In regards to the precious metals markets, they are heavily manipulated. I was reading all that 'conspiracy stuff' from GATA back in 2000 or so. It all made sense, so I acted on it. Some of you may wish to read up on it yourself.

The mortgage issue. One of the cases I did was a challenge to the banking system. I learned a hell of a lot in order to do the case (in fact the bad guys even tried to take away my practicing certificate for my work). I found out that Australia was just like America and where America lost its banking system to the bad guys in 1913, Australia lost it in 1924. The whole system is a scam.

Here's an easy way to understand how it works. Banking principles are the same for a country of 200,000,000 as they are for a country of 20,000,000 - or 2,000,000, or 20,000, or 2,000, or 200, or 20 or just 2 people - the principles are the same.

Now let's say that there is only two people in the country. I am the banker. I loan Matt $100 at 10% interest and I loan you $100 at 10% interest. At the end of the year Matt pays me back the $100 principle plus the $10 in interest. Important question - how much do you pay back?

Most people will glibly say $110. WRONG!

How much money did I put in circulation? Just $200. Matt took $110 out of circulation, that only leaves $90 left in circulation. You can't pay back the mortgage. It doesn't matter how hard you work, it doesn't matter how long you work, it doesn't matter how good of quality of widgets you make - you just cannot pay the bank back - period. Kiss your collateral (house, farm) good bye.

Oh, and just to rub salt in your wounds, I created the money out of thin air.

you can lead a horse to water terry but you cant make him drink, even if you try and force it down his throat. sooner or later he going to get annoyed and walk away leaving you with wet hands and a long walk back to civilization

I got a better one for you. Albert Einstein once said, "condemnation before investigation is the highest form of ignorance".

It really is true, if someone is trying to understand something and they don't quite 'get it'. They can usually succeed if they just persever. However, what do you do with the numbskull that starts rubbishing something before they even look at it - the're friggin hopeless.

Well Terry you said a lot!

but to your opening remark ( knowledge protects, ignorance endangers.)
one mans knowledge could be other mans bull#### and one mans ignorance could be another mans intelligents,

so no matter what way you look at it and as long as you have the human mind involved you will have diffrent imputs on anything.

so does it matter who did 9/11, you can rage all day about the govment or the banking system and so on but does make your life any better? i think not!

And the mortgage exmple you put up is a red herring, it does not allow for trade, so if there was only $200 in any economic system why the hell would you lend any if they cannot trade with it?

the mortgage system like it or not will still be used by most people at some stage in life to get ahead, if it did not we would not be getting anywhere, but you may not understand this as you have never had a mortgage!

and as for the Climatechange thing i will agree that it is the biggest bull#### storey going:msp_biggrin:

The banking system? I suppose you Aussies were taught in school that Australia financed WWI and the Trans Indian Ocean railway DEBT FREE to Australia, or was that glossed over. However, after 1924 Australia got to learn what Americans were learning about international banking.

Yes, I have had mortgages, a couple back in the States. That was before I got a clue. I did finance my chambers in Oz as I didn't have enough money. Since I had taken the time to understand interest and paying down the principle, I had it paid off in a little over two years. Then I could start saving and investing my money.

I didn't make a lot of money as a barrister, I was too damn busy doing pro bono work trying to fight the system. However, I lived modestly in a caravan for 17 years and kept investing. I knew what to invest in because I had done my research - it paid off.

As far as one man's 'truth' - objective reality doesn't care what you believe in, it just is.

what einstein should have said "never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience every time"

what einstein should have said "never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience every time"

with that I will rest my case Amen:msp_biggrin:

its also been said, never argue with a fool as people may not be able to tell who is who:dizzy:
