The 576 will be retired soon Serg :)

More like a vaseline clad Barista :D

I was thinking along the lines of a level III Barista after his earlier influences!

Yep. Jackie Chan I am most certainly not :) Lawn Bowls may be on the cards...

At least you're not as bad as this guy mate. He's in his mid 40's and only just bought a new dirt bike. He's a good mate with one of my chemical reps (who just bought a Hyabusa!). They've already told him he'll need a knee replacement over the next 5 years. He took a jump but somehow used his leg as suspension when he landed. Nasty stuff...

Lucky it isn't me then :)

That is great news! Yeah, I just reread it and realised it wasn't you... you're not into Hyabusa's anyway haha. I wouldn't mind the engine in an off-road buggy though - now that would be fun.

nooooooo. casey stoner has announced he will retire at the end of the current season.

ill be sad to see him go but good on him for going out on his terms while at the top of his game

Anddd the Wiggles are retiring... all in the same day :msp_ohmy:

I'm new to the whole chainsaw thing, recently hit a hiding rock with my saw, chain would no longer cut through butter it was that blunt. Judging by the chips does this appear sharp enough now? Took me about 45mins of sharpening with a carlton file o plate to get it like this, should I keep going ?

Also I installed a HD filter kit to my Makita DCS6401, but I have now way of tuning it, tach is to expensive for me at the moment. I fattened the mixture a freckle but still want to check the max rpm. Anyone nearish to ferntree gully melb that has a tach I could borrow/come round to check the tune ?

Furntree Gully Aye? My old stomping ground back in the day. Used to live in Wantirna Sth and got up to no good in FTG and Boronia!

Different wood species throw different chips so a bit hard to tell. Have you been dropping the height of the depth guages as well mate? The File-O-Plates are excellent for depth guage adjustment.
As far as your Makita goes a tacho won't help you tune it as the rev limiter kicks in at 13,500rpm. The ideal no load rpm is probably just above this. Best way to tune these saws is in the cut under load. If I was closer I'd certainly help. Why don't you come for a 7 hour drive up my way? :)
