Vince, what did you do to the old one? Blow a piston out of the exhaust? Couldn't handle the 6500 rpm mud bashes?

naa someone wanted that particular year motor i had which was a 2005 motor. upgrading to 2014 motor and trans so i get and extra gear and an extra 100hp and 300nm with this setup over the old one; just in standard trim.:numberone:

As long as it'll go close to keeping up with a cruiser you'll be fine mate.

Is ADC doing it or is Heath back on the job?

Pulling the WR450F down after not riding it in 5 years....fuel tank had badly gummed up with that brown gum....nothing a bit of lemon juice doesn't fix in a jiffy 1451893585321.jpg :D

Airbox with air filter just removed...looks good, no wasps, birds or spiders

Need some advise...

The chain fitted is one ride old but after being in storage covered in surface rust. Still moves pretty good though on the o rings, not too stiff.

How best do I bring it back to look like the one above which is the same? Sprockets are as new and need no work.1451899605159.jpg

um 1 ride old gee i'd just soak it in grease oil then ride the thing avoiding puddles and beach sand if lazy like me spray on chain lube saves the removal

I'll wire brush it but wanted something that could help with the surface rust between the links, mostly the rollers that work/contact the sprocket.....if I don't clean it I'm worried it may chew out my new as allow sprocket. ..maybe I should just oil it and fit the steel sprocket, should totally wear off after a k or two....maybe

Being a o ring chain. You'll only want to use kerosene. Kero won't Hert the o rings ...wash in soapy water and hang to dry. Then spray with wd40... Once back on the bike a light spray with chain oil on the rollers .

Can use a wire brush to remove rust on the outer links ,being carefully not to rub into the rubber o rings with steel wire brush

To much oil just flings around attracting dirt that wears into chains and o rings plus making a mess for no reason as it just flings off . it's unnessarry on a o ring chain ,they just need a light spray with bike chain oil from time to time and a clean when getting dirty from dust ,wd40 now and then to stop rust and after a cleaning etc

Heath made way too many mistakes to go back with him. We don't talk anymore!!

I like how ADC is close so I can keep an eye on it.

Used diesel before....will try kero next.

The 'rusty' chain is just as stiff as the new chain and the orings looked fine on the joiner, still tacky too.
