Now days, if you were felling and bucking, would you go with a 661 or a 090 Neil? All things considered.....

One tale of woe does not a systemic problem make, but a mate who is not prone to bursts of irrational stiring is most unimpressed with his 661, which is supposed to be his work saw at his felling job. Not happy with shroud, filters, antivibe, carb/mtronic. Over a grand worth of warranty repairs thus far. Is now considering a modded 390/5.he might be only person who just was unlucky to get a rare lemon.
Cash is handy at times ,but only if there's something to buy ,and everything I find that I'm keen on is in bloody Victoria ..so cash is not much chop at times, I don't get a fuzzy felling with a few pieces of paper in my pocket and no pisss up on the horizon lol
unfortunately for him the dealer hasn't heard about or is unable/unwilling to make, lemonade. It's a dying art/skill here in nz, it would seem.lemons come in all colours

there are a couple in use at work, no issues with em yet, only complaints so far is that they are not a 660, some people just don't like change. That's the first of heard of that.
Anyone else got any horror stories on those 661's?

There is something about blokes that don't really care about money... i like it
What little I have used them I like em, easier on the hands than the old modelI've only heard good reports about them and one not so good report re a modded one...
I've used one and quite liked it, a lot.
I have put over 50 tanks through mine masterminded .Have just put the updated coil on it was running a little lean straight outa the cut other than that faultless performance it's only had a 36" bar on itThat's the first of heard of that.

Yup, even just idling the 660 lets you know you have 90cc in your hands. What little I have used them I like em, easier on the hands than the old model

When your finished the days blocking in 10 minutes and kicking back at the log dump boiling the Billy ,you'll know you own a 395 that you left on the garage shelf and used a Stihl to do the hard work...
